Christians In Skyrim: What Would It Look Like?

“I used to be an adulterer like you, but then I took an arrow to the kidney.” ~Proverbs 7:6-23 (Skyrim Version).

Have you ever wanted to see how Christians would react in video game worlds?  Well, Sarah and I sought to play Skyrim: The Elder Scrolls V from a Christian perspective. In this unique playthrough we have confined ourselves to these rules:

THE RULES

1. Can't use magic
2. Can't break the 10 Commandments
3. Must tell people about Jesus

Come join us as we escape from dragons, scavenge arrows and love our enemies!

My sons love Skyrim. I am troubled by many of its aspects and its affect on my household and family. Has anyone commented on detrimental affects coming from the game uoon their oersonal lives and their household?

Hi Thomas, it was brought to my attention that in Skyrim, Alduin (the bad guy) represents Jesus. This is something to be aware of. If you are uncomfortable with aspects of the game it is best to use those things to start Bible conversations and explain your perspective to your children so they know the reasons behind your concerns. Ultimately if your conscience is grieved you should not allow your children to play the game. Hope that helps. Thanks for the question!
