So being indoors all the time is horrible right? WRONG.
It’s been weeks since the global outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, and almost that length of time since schools have been out and parents have been working from home, and I bet you’re starting to feel it!
It’s probably around about now that your kids are starting to get bored.
Have you been stepping on each other's toes yet? Well, fear not! Channel all your boredom and spare time into something you’re commanded to do- teach your children the Scriptures!
Don't Waste This Opportunity
It is your responsibility, and particularly Dad's, to train your children in the Word, as the Shema in Deuteronomy 6:4-9 states:
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.“
This truth is reiterated in Ephesians 6:4
“And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.”
Despite this truth, many families struggle with how to actually go about teaching their children in a way that will truly engage them. Most children's Bible materials are watered down stories with very little theological substance.
Family Worship Like Never Before
This is why we created The Armoury Bible Game- an EPIC role-playing card game that does not cut corners theologically. The Armoury Bible Game allows you to have a family Bible study while playing an EPIC game where you put on armour and kill monsters. Sounds neat right?
Download or FREE Game Master Packs that teach apologetics and see for yourself. These packs are designed to be used with The Armoury Bible Game, however, they can be utilized independently as materials to lead family worship.
Make this lockdown a time your kids will remember!
